. Dr. Kenneth Weiner is a trained and experienced optometrist who maintains an active practice in the Santa Clarita Valley, more specifically, Canyon Country. He did his undergraduate studies in Biology at the College of the City of New York (C.C.N.Y.) and received his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania State College of Optometry. He has received his certification for the treatment and management of ocular disease. . Dr. Weiner has a special interest in ophthalmic wellness and prevention of ocular disease through the use of specific vitamins and anti-oxidant therapy. Over the past 20 years, he has volunteered to help those less fortunate, donating both his professional time and the materials to provide glasses for those who cannot afford them. His services for the welfare of the community merited a commendation from the White House, as well as from the Mayor’s office. He has served his profession over the years in many leadership capacities culminating as President of the San Fernando Valley Optometric Association. . He is an associate in Co-management of Refractive Surgery studying under Raymond Stein, M.D. at the Beacon Institution Toronto, Canada, Robert Maloney at Jules Styne Eye Clinic and Yaron Rabinowitz, M.D. at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. . Dr. Weiner is married over 40 years to Lynne, who is his office manager. Their son and daughter are both married and each have two fantastic children, and are blessed to have them live near by. . Dr. Weiner’s outside interests are somewhat unusual in that he is also a professional actor appearing on the Peoples Choice Awards and a childrens’ video called KIDS SONGS. A singer as well, he has a performed in local and regional theaters around the Los Angles area. Dr. Weiner feels most fortunate to be able to combine professional training and a devoted interest in patient care with his diverse personal interests.
